Research. Dissipative phenomena and techniques in quantum-optical systems, including nonlinear optical cavities, optomechanical devices, superconducting circuits, cold atoms in optical lattices, and polaritons in semiconductor microcavities. I also work on and off in quantum simulators, quantum walks, and quantum information with continuous variables.

Teaching. Currently teaching Open Quantum Optical Systems, an elective course for Bachelors, Masters, and PhD at the Friedrich-Alexander Erlangen-Nürnberg University.
